The annual Humanities Speaker Series (HSS), will be held Feb. 8 and Feb.9, 2018. Though we are still finalizing the location and keynote, we invite you to begin thinking about submitting your proposal!

The theme of the series aims to explore different perspectives on community, and we would love to hear how your work engages with this theme and its various forms! This is a semi-informal series that allows you to present your research, interests, and/or pedagogy to a wide, interdisciplinary audience at Rice. Presentations will be flash talks (around 7 minutes) on Feb 9, and presenters will have the opportunity to workshop their ideas with various faculty mentors prior.

Deadline for submitting is January 12th, 2018.  Presenters will be notified on January 20th of acceptance. Accepted presenters must participate in a workshop on January 25th, 2018.  Click here to submit a brief description of your work.
