HGSA wants to welcome of incoming and returning graduate students in the School of Humanities at Rice University to join HGSA at Rice Gallery for some art, socializing, refreshments, and discussion.

Our group is brand new, and we want to give everybody a chance to not only find out what we are about but to shape our goals for the year and longer. HGSA President Kelly Weber will speak briefly, and we will be joined by Dean of Humanities Nicolas Shumway, Director of the Center for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Rice University and English Professor Rosemary Hennessy, and Director of the Center for Critical and Cultural Theory and Professor of English Cary Wolfe.

This will be a great opportunity to meet your colleagues across the Humanities and schmooze with the faculty and administration.
