Conference update

Kelly submitted proposal to HRC.

Can expect to hear back by November 4 is our guess.

CFP: Kelly working on it.

Need to plan mixer.

Michael will start setting up a room.

Michael will also book the Kyle Morrow for the conference now.

Carolyn will try to secure new club funding.

→ Have to be on the docket for December grants meeting (SAPP and GSA).

→ Budget: refreshments. Roughly $400-500+$250 for new club. Budget will have to come from those total funds.

Larry will announce and advertise once we are ready.

Thresher Article

Advertising for humanities grad students, arguing our value a bit. Need to check with Goat before Anthony and Larry proceed in writing the article.

Official Group Status

Leo confirms that he has attended training, thus we are confirmed as a club!

Stipend Task Force Updates

Meeting with Arnaud –

→ encourage reps to get peer comparison in the form Arnaud wants

(stipend per month over months distributed over years against service requirements/strings attached)

Arnaud’s office will help with cost of living issue.

Funding ceilings? What is our system, at which level of the department/school/university is it set and enforced, and do other departments have something comparable and at which dollar threshold?

Larry will craft email about department task force procedure and advice (including timeline).

Dean Sanders meeting: Goat meeting with her and will talk to Anthony about meeting.
